Below are some tips researchers give to increase your metabolism:

- Do resistance training which builds muscles that not only burn calories while doing the exercises, but the resulting muscles will continue to burn more calories than fat, even while you’re at rest.
- Avoid starvation diets which can lower your metabolism.
- Break up larger meals into four or five mini-meals per day which may aid in increasing metabolism.
