MURCIA, SPAIN – Research conducted by the Huerta of the Murcia Regional Health and published in the journal Stroke indicates that walking can lower your risk of stroke.

This study was comprised of approximately 33,000 subjects. The research team divided the participants by gender, exercise type and total time spent exercising each week.

They found that subjects who walked briskly for 3.5 hours a week had an incredible 43% lower chance of getting a stroke than the inactive group.
